So, this essay is what Medium has to offer that can’t be found anywhere else. It’s a remarkably beautiful and hard-hitting essay that isn’t overworked. The fact that it is so light and casual masks how well crafted and profound it is. It’s the pinnacle of the “About Me” genre, the social media bio we all wish we could write.

Right now it has 2K claps… which is a fuckton in my book… but it deserves much more. I’m bummed that it is already getting composted. This piece should have a longer shelf life, but Medium’s churn rate is brutal nowadays.

You have written many great articles and stories. This one is painful to me because it is encapsulates all that I think is wonderful about Medium but which Medium still doesn’t get in front of enough people. I still slog through Medium most mornings looking for something like this. You’ve probably kept me reading garbage for another six months. Man, it bums me out that Medium can’t do more with this.

Thank you. This was great! Made my day.
