I think it makes sense, but that means hitting repeat on the phone or something, right? I looked it up. Close to You is track 6 on the second Carpenters album also titled “Close to You”. It is followed on the B side of the LP by two Burt Bacharach numbers, Baby It’s You and I’ll Never Fall In Love Again, both great songs but not in their Carpenter incarnations.
I think the right thing to do is put Close to You on loop and then cook and eat the eggs. I don’t think listening to it three or four times will kill the “experience”. Thanks for the idea.
